Adobe's troubleshooting page for installing/uninstalling Reader DC from Mac OS — Troubleshoot issues with updating Acrobat or Reader on Mac OS — tells us how to uninstall 'Acrobat Reader' and 'Acrobat DC' but is silent on the removal of 'Acrobat Reader DC'. For plain-vanilla Reader we are told to merely delete it from the Applications folder. Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a two-step process. First you download the installation package, and then you install Acrobat Reader DC from that package file. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for Mac is the industry standard for viewing, printing, signing and commenting on PDF documents. It's the only PDF viewer available*, which is able to open and interact with all types of PDF content, including forms and multimedia. Acrobat Reader DC for Mac (2018.009.20050) is missing the duplex print option on the print dialog. I have an HP Envy 7640 series printer. So far, all of the other apps can print duplex just fine, so I presume the printer is set up correctly.
How can I install the Adobe Reader DC without uninstalling the old Adobe Reader (11)?I want to manage the installation of Adobe Reader DC on my clients without deleting their old Adobe Reader. Is there a official download site from Adobe or could I edit the .pkg package?I got a free Adobe Enterprise License also but I can only find the installer at Adobe which installs the DC but uninstalls the old Reader.

Are you talking about Acrobat (Pro) or Adobe/Acrobat Reader?
In the second case, you would not get the 'official' download file from Adobe (because that is just a (IMHO extremely crappy) install manager. Instead you would get the actual Reader installer from the enterprise page of the Adobe website
As you are on Mac, multiple versions can be installed in parallel, and even do run concurrently. Under Windows, neither is possible; all which is possible to install one version each of Reader and Acrobat, and preferably the same (Acrobat DC and Reader DC).

Adobe Reader Dc For Mac Review
Pros
Good functionality: With Adobe Reader for Mac, you can do more than just view PDF files -- you can edit them as well, adding text and placing check marks and initials. It also lets you submit forms created with fillable form fields. This is especially helpful since nowadays many forms that you download from the Internet require you to use it to fill in the blanks.
Supports signatures: With this app you can add your signature onto files. This is an especially useful feature when you need to fill in and return a form or sign a document, but you don't have a working printer close by. You can choose to either type your signature, import a picture of your signature, or draw it using a mouse or trackpad.
Streamlined interface: Although the amount of features is impressive for a free application, the interface is clearly laid out and easy to navigate.
Reliable: It opens and displays files of all sizes, even large ones with many detailed images, quickly and smoothly. We have not experienced any technical glitches. Also, updates are released regularly.

Cons
Some advanced features require subscription: Adobe Reader doesn't have a paid version. Instead, if you want to take advantage of some of the more advanced features, you must sign up for a monthly subscription that starts at $1.99 a month. Two of these advanced features are emailing files directly from the application, and converting PDF files to other formats, including to Word.
Bottom Line
Adobe Reader Dc For Mac Or Windows
Adobe Reader proves to be the most functional, free PDF reader and editor available. Admittedly, Preview for Mac does share some of the features available on Adobe Reader, but not all of them. Besides, most fillable forms that you download from the Internet were originally created using other Adobe products and therefore must be filled out using Adobe Reader. This is a must-have application for all Mac users.
